Adukale, an Indian D2C snacks brand, has raised Rs 11 crore (approximately $1.3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Force Ventures, with participation from Aanya Ventures and angel investors such as Subrata Mitra and Radhika Pandit.

Leveraging funds to enhance manufacturing capabilities 

The startup plans to use the raised capital to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and to boost research and development efforts. It also plans to increase its physical presence with more stores, expand its distribution channels, and improve brand visibility across various platforms.

Adukale, founded in 2009 by Nagaratna Ravindra, Malathi Sharma, and MS Ravindra, is aiming to cement its position as a top omnichannel player in the snacking sector.

Currently, the brand offers more than 75 products through over 20 'Adukale Experience Stores' in Bengaluru and Mysore, in addition to its online store and various e-commerce platforms.

Vinay Gopinath, Chief Growth Officer at Adukale, commented on the funding, stating, “This investment underscores the brand’s growth potential as a top omnichannel player in its category, showcasing confidence in its future direction. The secured funding will be instrumental in expanding our brand’s channel presence, enhancing visibility, and fostering deeper engagement with our target audience.”

Karthik Bhat, founder of Force Ventures, reflected on the collaboration, saying, “Our partnership with Adukale reflects a mutual aspiration to lead the traditional snacks category by 2025 and to serve as stewards of Karnataka’s culinary legacy, showcasing it on a global platform.”
